our six year old has a cell phone. Like my friend Debbie just stated on her blog-it is a sign of the times right??!??? Actually, it is a sign of Sophie having Daddy wrapped around her finger! Her phone is purple and she has a Jonas Brother's ring tone and wall paper....her favorite thing is text messaging-big surprise since her brother's phone is permanently stuck to his fingers in text mode so she has learned from the pro! Tiler is such a pro that his screen broke on his phone and he was still able to do everything on the phone by memory without the screen.....does this scare you? it scares me!

I can't walk!!
I limped into to Sophie's school today as if I am injured or something. No, no injury just an exercise class yesterday full of lunges and squats. I have decided to run the full marathon this year to usher in my 40th Birthday (becaue surely if I run a full marathon I am not old right?!?), anyway, I thought an exercise class would help me get in shape. So, Lyric and I go over to our church where surely the exercise class will be easy and simple, I mean it's at church it can't be too tough, right-WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The instructor was even playing the Olympic theme song and training us like we are on the olympic gymnastic team.......okay.......so maybe that's a slight exaggeration, but the class was full of legs and abs exercises. I mean we used steps, weights, balls, bands, paper plates (don't ask) all kinds of stuff. Later in the day Lyric and felt like our legs were very tired, as she put it, like when your epidural is wearing off and your legs are shaky. So, we thought we may run today or she may attend another class, we thought we would be fine today. Well.........
Waking up in the middle of night unable to turn over because I can't move my legs was the first sign I had over done it! After I woke up this morning I proceeded to have hold onto objects in my house just to walk and made loud noises (you know like a weighlifter) when I had to bend down. I then limped into Sophie's class like I had just had surgery or something. It is ridiculous!! I am in pain. I just took 3 Ibuprofen and if this does not work I am just going to lay on the floor all day.
So, this was going to be my first post about my marathon plans and about getting back in shape, eating right etc. I had hoped that it would be an inspiring blog that would motivate all of my friends to want to run the marathon too. But, instead I have to report that after just one day of exercise I can't walk so I just sat on the couch and ate cheetos and a rice krispy treat. I am off to a great start!

Back to School!
Yesterday was the first day back to school. Tiler left bright and early with important gadgets strapped to his body, you know IPOD's, phone, who knows what else?? He has found his own fashion style and proudly wore purple shoes to school! I was just happy his shoes were tied and his underwear weren't showing....yes, he is growing up!
Sophie awoke slowly and painfully in true "night owl" fashion, but we made it to school on time and she was so cute and excited. Lately she has been saying she needs independence and she is tired of being in my shadow, which to her means me making all of her decisions for her apparently. So here they are, our cute little students.....it's all about cuteness until the teacher calls!
