Birthday Ski Weekend

Since Tiler and I shared a Birthday weekend this year we decided to drive up north to go skiing and snowboarding! We had a great time, yes there were bad moments and a few melt downs, but mostly great. I taught Sophie to ski and Tiler picked up snowboarding so fast and was fantastic by the end of the day. It is amazing because when I tried snowboarding I spent the day falling on my tailbone, which was severly bruised, and falling off the lift everytime I got off. Michael tried snowboarding at the end of the day this weekend and had one fall in which he stated "I feel like all of my insides just came out my butthole" (I am not trying to be crude here, it's just what he said under the influence of pain) so he was done with that quickly. So, we were very proud of Tiler for picking it up like a pro! As for Sophie, she started the day out saying "I can't" and yelling at us, but once we got that under control she did so good and by the end of the day was going straight down the beginner run without falling. On her last fall at the end of the day she yelled "yard sale!!"-so cute. I spent most of the day chasing her up and down the hill in my ski boots so I did not really ski, but am sore like I did!

This week is a fun week for us here in Arizona. We have the FBR Open Golf tournament and the Superbowl is here and on our side of town, a ton of exciting events going on....we will keep you posted on the happenings..........we have Clubhouse tickets on the 18th green for the Open and.....drum roll please.........VIP passes to P. Diddy's Superbowl Party that I won dancing "sexy" at Skye Bar and Restaurant......are you party girls out there proud of me!!!!!

Happy New Year Everybody!!

Okay, I am going to post a picture of my little "crazies" here and wish you all a Happy New Year. I do have stories to tell on this blog, I just have to find the time to sit down in the quiet and write them. I have been home with a teenager and a five year old who thinks she is a teenager (seriously right now I DO NOT know which of these two do more whining and complaining) for two weeks. I mean I do have stories to tell! They go back to school Monday so I should have more time to tell you all what is going on around here. Tiler goes back Monday no matter what-rain, sleet, snow, okay this would never happen here, but no matter what he is going if I have to carry him myself! Sophie is going to school IF she can go to bed before 11:00 at night, if she can eat a good breakfast and get off to school without yelling at me or throwing her hairbrush (or me throwing her hair brush) and if she eats lunch at school so that she does not act like the exorcist when I pick her up. This may be the start of homeschooling for her this week....I will keep you all posted-don't worry I think I can handle kindergarten curriculum-I don't need any homeschool bashers emailing me...and don't email me that Tiler needs a haircut as he has had one since this picture, right after a root canal he got a haircut!! Haircut $20.00....root canal $1000.00.........mouth too sore to talk much....PRICELESS!
